Dear all
I need help about some special cases that PgcEdit is, apparently, unable to properly manipulate.
After the decryption, when scanned with PgcEdit in order to program the language and subtitles as described in the guide written by Jeanl, some of my commercial DVDs show that, instead of having normal menus (VTSM or VMGM files) with the associated buttons, have VTST files with any button associated to the shown selection fields. In such cases, PgcEdit don’t stop (as usually) the “Trace mode” scanning showing a menu and, if you visualize in “Preview PGC” mode the VTST file related to the “pseudo menu”, no choice can be made.
More over, when the program execution reaches the “pseudo menu” area, it usually remains in a loop (see an example at the end of this message where the titleset VTST 1 , 4 TTN 4 is the “pseudo menu”), evidently waiting for an input that (may be) through PgcEdit cannot be given.
At this point, the only solution that I’ve found to make my copies (a merely decrypted copy doesn’t work) is to jump from the First play PGC directly to the film and loose all the menu possibilities.
I’ve found no mention in the Doom 9 domain about these cases. May be you can better address my search?
Thank you for your answer
