Is there anyone out there that believes that you can download as many movies as you like for a lifetime membership of $19.99 without it being a con?

I apologise. I meant in no way to promote any of these sites. I just wanted an opinion of whether people think they are genuine or scams.

Think about it. How can they possibly be legitimate?

Let's say I decide I want to download 1000 movies for $19.95.

Do you really think there's a way to do that legitimately?

Donald can download 1000 movies for $19.95 from a site that holds ownership titles for those movies. Legally he will only get trash that the site-owner has shot himself with a video camers.

The net is full of shit some of which are well disguised, and some of which are barely so. That's the tragedy of the Internet.

alge66 is a newcomer to these fora, and he is welcome. He is probably not very new to the Internet. There is nothing to be disheartened about...he will soon learn to weed out the trash from the staff that are kosher.

If he wants focussed browsing without popups and too many ads to turn his head, then I'd suggest he uses Firefox with Adblock enabled rather than Internet Explorer.

I strictly doubt that any of those sites will exist longer than myself. And I'm not young at all.

don't think i'm (fully) joking. i've just read a report w/quentin tarantino about his plan of buying/building a movie and buying all his favorite films just for himself. he plans to let anyone in to watch his favourites for free (when he's in that mood). he said, 'i got lotsa money, i can afford it'

Yes I thought these sites were too good to be true, and when they asked for my bank/credit card details without SSL encryption I knew right there to stop.

If you wish, you may use the MPAA's anti-piracy reporting web page (http://www.mpaa.org/anti-piracy/contact/index.htm). I have done so, when these website operators have sent me spam, since I hate spam. (It was very obvious, as they were advertising films still in their first or second week of theatrical distribution.)
