burners that handel cyclic redunancy?

I have heard that there are DVD burners that work through "cyclic redundancy errors" when making a backup copy DVD. I thought only the software could fix this problem during a copy session. If there are burners that do this, what brand are they and how does they work?

Your burner probably isn't the problem. Cyclic redundancy errors are usually caused by either poor quality, or incompatible media. Check out media brands that have been used successfully with both your burner and standalone player.

You have misunderstood my question. Are there DVD burners or DVD-rom's (pc) that detect "Cyclic redundancy error" while a movie is being analized and knows to skip that sector without help from the software program being used to backup the DVD. I there such a burner or rom drive?

I didn't misunderstand your question, but it appears I have misunderstood your intention. Most of the cylclic redundancy-related questions we see concern the use of inferior/incompatible media. Are you receiving this error during a backup attempt, or is your question purely rhetorical, based on research/reading you've been doing?
