Hello,
I have a lot of films with dolby pro logic audio in ogg format.
Now I do have two amplifiers (and four speakers). Is there any software that could split those front / rear signals and send them to seperated line-outs on my soundcard (while watching the film)??
That would be awesome!
(By the way works nice with ac3 via ffdshow).
Thank you

I think you'd be better off using a hafler circuit to wire 4 speakers to 1 stereo amplifier in such a way that the matrixed signal is decoded by the speakers themselves. This is the 'Quadrophonic Sound' of the 70's and I believe the origin of Dolby Surround itself, the main difference being that a Dolby decoder delays the rear speaker signals by around 20ms. No additional software required.
I also use a simple passive circuit (made with 3 resistors) to mix the left & right signals into a center channel & play this using the audio input on my TV. I was amazed by the quality (especially given it cost me nothing) but may yet add an active sub-woofer (with it's own crossover) on the centre channel.

If you still want to do it your way, a recent version of AC3Filter will work though I had problems getting the output channel assignments to stay put. Might just have been a problem with my PC's audio hardware/driver.

Hi,
well it seems to work now :) (don't know what got wrong before). With the MatrixMixer I do have a lot of tweaking possibilities. However there are some (quiet) disturbing noises on the rear channel.
Thank you
