I have a xvid movie that I converted to dvd using cucusoft. In the play back early in the movie the audio skips and it doen't match the video the rest of the way. I've converted it with other programs with the same results, is there a program that would let me pull the audio out and clip it and then replace it matching the video?
thanks for any help.

The audio may be encoded vbr mp3. A lot of programs have problems transcoding these. You can use AviMux_Gui to extract the audio as a mp3 or you can use Virtualdub or vdubmod to process it out as a wav. Encode it to you desired format with Besweet or other audio encoding app. I would try this before trying to cut out parts of the sudio somewhere in the middle.

Edit: Sorry went off the deep end there
Does the unencoded avi keep sync after the spot where it jumps. If you avi has a bad spot you can use Virtualdub to cut out the little piece.
