Downloading MPEG-2 High-1440@HL and Scalable bitstreams

Hi, everyone!

I have encoded my own implementation of MPEG-2 standard wich has to support all levels and profiles (althought maybe not at full fps for high profiles) and I can't find anywhere test sequences for that profiles. I have searched at FTP's, newsgroups, Berkeley University, and sites related with MPEG2 and had no luck.
I know part 4 in the standard is all about test conformance, and says something about the name of test bitstreams, but no lead to the site where I may download them.

Could somebody help me with an URL with HP@HL, High-1440@HL and some Scalable profile test sequences, please?

Under http://standards.iso.org/ittf/PubliclyAvailableStandards/ISO_IEC_13818-4_2004_Conformance_Testing/ is 13818 Part 4 but they have no HP@HL.

Thanks a lot, but all those sequences are the ones i have already used to succesfully test my decoder in MP@ML, but what I am looking for is scalable, HP@HL and High-1440@HL.

13818 Part for has none HP bitstreams and i know no source where you will find them.

I have programmed a fully-compliant MPEG-2 decoder which it is supposed to decode till HP@HL, althought I think I won't get 25 fps at 1440x1152 and 4:2:2. For now, I get 100 fps at PAL resolution and 3 Mbps, 76 fps PAL at 6 Mbps, all 4:2:0, and i want to improve 4:2:2 profile seeing as it only reaches 18 fps at NTSC and 25 Mbps. I have also implemented SNR scalability, and I should test it right now.

BTW, somebody knows which rates MPEG2DEc3.dll gets?

The framerate change withe the Power of your system(CPU, RAM, Busspped, ...).

You can upsize any input and encode using i.e. libavcodec/FFMPEG. (I'm not sure if they can encode HP@HL though.)

Well, yes, I know :)

Mine is Athlon XP 1400 MHz and 256 RAM. I wanted to know MPEG2Dec3.dll performance with a standard PC.

How could I upsize a sequence? I know how to upsize one frame or a picture, but not a whole sequence.

Maybe TMPEGEnc could do the trick?

Yes, I know it and not only use it at home when ripping, but also at work to resize videos; the problem is that I have to compress the output of avisynth into MPEG2 throught a VWF codec using VirtualDub, for example, and I think is easier to do it directly throught TMPEGEnc. Furthermore, I don't know any VWF MPEG2 encoder, and I don't feel confident using ffdshow's as I got crashes when encoding using libavcodec in MPEG4...

what is VWF? You mean VfW(Video for Windows), or? VfW is not good for MPEG like encoding.

To anyone interested, I donwloaded one High-1440@ML and some other multi-packet transport streams at ftp://mpeg.cablelabs.com/pub/mpeg/Tektronix/

Now, there are only two more sequences to catch up: some scalable SNR and some High-1440@HL... :)

Don't try to login throught IE or Mozilla; use a FTP client instead.
