Best softweare for DVD sound ripping

ok, i got a few DVD i bought because they were special for me and were only available on DVD support. i don't have a dvd device, so i must transform it into avi. now, i managed to transform the video files to avi, but the sound quality was way to low. can someone give me the name or link to a good softweare that can ripp only the audio part of a dvd, but in good quality (5.1 preferably)?

can you tell me a program to rip DVD sounds to .mp3 or to another format so Sony Vegas 5.0 can open it ?

You could both try besweet (http://dspguru.doom9.net), using belight (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=85566) as a frontend. If you just want the raw 5.1 ac3 use dvd decrypter as buzzqw mentioned.
