How to create menus with Matroska? I mean DVD-like menus.
Are there any software and guides?

There is a software available but not finalized yet. And the main issues actually come from the menus playback. The Matroska team works on it. :)

Ok, thanks.

But is there some site with latest news about menus development?

there is www.matroska.org, but for up-to-date news you are probably better of subscribing to mailing lists or visiting the irc channel (irc://irc.corecodec.com/matroska)

Latest news from this site:

2005-02-06

New versions of libebml (0.7.3) and libmatroska (0.7.5) have been released today. They have been updated to reflect all the latest spec additions for the menu feature. :)

So, is this possible to make menus now?

I've read all news, and:
...we still don't have a suitable player for playback... :(
