Hello everybody,

perhabs someone can help me out with the LOTR-ROTK SE flipper disc. I used the "joinclip"-method for joining the splitted movie. But here is the problem. After joining the VOBs with the right VOB-IDs i wanted to create new IFO-Files in IFO-Edit for the VOB-Set. But the IFO creation stopped after the VOBs of the first disc were processed. In the summary of the IFO-File the movie-time was only about 2h (had to be >3,5h). Thats is only the length of the part that was on the first dvd.
Does anyone know why IFO-Edit does not process the VOBs that came from the 2nd dvd? All other previous rips (such as the godfather trilogy) worked fine with this method.

Greeting,
flooo

i had trouble with this as well and had to try a new way around the usual. Unfortunately it requires a registered version of dvd2one but its the only way I could successfully do this.

First decrypt the two halves to seperate folders, then using ifoedit strip to the audio track and subtitle streams you need. I go for the first audio track and the first subtitles

I had tried the normal vobedit approach for the second disc then creating new ifo's with ifoedit but for some reason the vob id's on the second part of the disk get all screwed up and are listed in ifoedit wrong ie (2,1)(2,2)(3,3)(3,4)(4,5) instead of 2,1)(2,2)(2,3)(2,4)(2,5) that it should have been. Not sure if its a vobedit or ifoedit problem. The result is the picture searching on the second half goes all screwy.

To join them successful I used the seamless "all one vts" join option in dvd2one. This performed flawlessy giving me a 8.6Gb disk which needs to be reencoded or transcoded using your favourite app.

I also recommend cutting the fan credits off the end of the normal end credits as it saves just short of a Gb!
