Is there a tool which will change some of the values in GOP sequence header (particularly sequence_display_extension) ?

TmpGenc refuses to join two MPEG files together which appear to be identical except for about 5 values in the sequence headers, one of which being color_primaries and another video_format.

One of the files is from a DVB-T broadcast and has "undefined" for most of these values, and a tiny file rendered by Tmpgenc itself which has for example video_format "PAL". The resolution, field order and all of the obvious settings appear otherwise identical. I guess TmpGenc is being ultra-picky.

I've managed to get these files to join in another program, but I'd really like to get these values all to agree in case it should affect they way the MPEG plays in some players.

Is there a tool which can change these values ?

ReStream (http://shh.sysh.de/restream.html)

ReStream could be OK for this task, but I don't know if it will take DVB material.
You can try to merge the files with ReJig also.

Thanks, I'll give them both a try.

I suggest WOMBLE MPEG-VCR, because of it was the only one that got to merge two MPEGs without A/V async issue...

Cheers,
