Hi I have a VERY HUGE problem with Scenarist 3.00.
I'm working on a Dual monitor configuration with a Parhelia (latest drivers) and Scenarist 3.00. I've made a project that 100% works with software/hardware preview in Scenarist's Navigation Simulator. The problem is that when I compile the project the video randomly drops the frames (play/jumps with blocks on video). This problem occour with DVD-5 and DVD-9 project and seems to be "random". The navigation isn't so complex but it seems that Scenarist mades a wrong IFO files (because also the DVDShrink terminate during the analisys phase and also because all muxed files in the mux_data directory are OK!).

Anyone have encountered this problem?
Thanks to all!
Sorry but it's very urgent!
Thanks again!

How are your harddrives setup? Do you have a RAID or are 2 or more harddrives partitioned as one? Are you using a legitimate, dongle version of Scenarist? If you have a dongled version of Scenarist, upgrade to 3.01... and 3.1 is coming out soon from what I hear. This could be harddrive(s) issue. It could be because your harddrive is full or some of its' sectors are corrupted. Try deleting old projects (or backing them up off the drive via DLT Tape) and any unnecessary programs. Or get a new harddrive. This has happened to me on several occasions. I have 2 harddrives, both 150GB and partitioned as 1 drive. When it gets down to about ~50GB or so, thats when I have lots of problems such what you're describing... your scenario looks good in simulator, muxes, creates titlesets with no problem. But when you view it back, it errors up. First try upgrading the software to 3.01 or try getting new harddrives.

Hi! Thanks for reply! I've made some investigations in this week-end.
The HD are all in RAID-5 configuration (for a total amount of 1 TeraByte of usable space).
I think to have found the "problem"... the file server is under RedHat Linux and the Samba server seems to be in some cases incompatible (but this occour in unknown circumstances). The file server is used to store all scenarios and all audio/video files too. I've rebuilt the scenario under a local hard drive and this time the compiling were completed succesfully without any error.
After all I'm satisfied to have found (i wish) the "problem".
Thanks again for your reply, very appreciate!
