I have been using Dvd Maestro for a few years with real time preview enabled via the Cinemaster2000 codec.
But now, something has changed.
I still have real time preview enabled but when I try to preview all I get is a black screen + audio and no subtitles.
I have tried reinstalling Dvd Maestro and the Cineplayer codec and even tried moving these 3 files into my system 32 folder:
Cinmhook.dll, Cinmst32.dll, dvdpld32.dll.
And i also tried uninstalling PowerDVD from my system...but nothing worked.
Any help with this will be much appreciated.:(

you havent by any chance increased your video resolution, or number of colors. I have had black screens when I have done this, but usually there is a message saying insufficient memory to display video, reduce resolution.

PowerDVD is usually pretty well behaved. I suspect some OTHER viewer has "hijacked" the needed extentions (has happened to me more times than I care to discuss).
I have moved the Cinemaster files into my DVDMaestro directory, and haven't had a problem since.
If this doesn't solve your probs, look at the associations in FOLDER OPTIONS\FILE TYPES and see "who" has changed the .M2V and .AC3 associations.

What Cinemaster files have you moved into maestro's directory? the codec? the player?
*.M2V files are associated with Window Media Player...this has never been a problem before.
The Cinemaster player doesn't seem to work at all on my system and getws stuck stright at the begining.(Even after multiple uninstalls and reinstalls.
Still would love to solve this problem...

I moved the following Cinemaster files to the DVDMaestro Directory:
CINEMAST.DLL
CINMHOOK.DLL
CINMST32.DLL
I believe that this is all that is needed. There are NO Cinemaster files in my \SYSTEM32 folder. Anyway, IIRC, the PREVIEW window will tell you why it can't load ("REAL TIME PREVIEW CANNOT LOCATE FILE CINMST32.DLL").

The files I use from cinemaster 2000 (and maybe I don't need to include all of them) are:
cinemres.dll
Cinmhook.dll
Cinmst32.dll
dvdpld32.dll
Swcmcfg.dll
Occasionally on startup I still get the message that preview is unavailable, but that happened when cinemaster was installed "properly" too.

Your "PREVIEW NOT AVAILABLE" usually means that there is not enough video memory to run. This happens to me when I have PowerDVD open in the background (which has reserved a huge amount of video memory for itself) while I try to invoke the preview. Stopping the movie in PowerDVD usually fixes this.

Have you selected a video and a subtitle stream to preview? HINT: Highlight the stream number on the left of the particular stream.
