Pixels/poor quality [Archive]

I have a video that's Divx 320x240, 25 fps, 700 kbps and you can see the pixels. Is there any thing I can do to it to improve the quality? i.e. sharpen/smooth filter, recompress?

It would be pretty pointless to have a video and be unable to see the pixels, don't you think?

Maybe if you posted a screenshot, we could understand what you are saying.

Unless he's talking about it being blocky ?
If so, there's the MSU deblocking filter which may help:

I tried to give it a go myself, but when I accessed it virtualdub
crashed. Hmmm... perhaps my cpu is not supported. I've an Athlon
1.2GHz Tbird....
