Hi,

I am considering foregoing the re-authoring phase with DVDRemakePro, because it takes so much time (not to mention export the re-authored DVD) and disk space.

I am considering just using RB's new blanking features, but I was wondering about something. The advantage to RemakePro (aside from being able to remove buttons that point to removed or to-be-removed content), is that the resulting source for RB is fairly accurate, i.e. in the prepare phase RB reports fairly accurate info about reduction levels.

However I usually use RBOpt anyway to tweak things. So my question is if, after PREPARE, you start blanking out segments with the new functionality in RB, will this be reflected when you open the .inf file with RBOpt? I assume so because when you hit save settings in RB's segment blanker, I think it writes to the Working directory, so I assume it writes it in a format that is visible to RBOpt. But then I wonder if RBOpt even sees the blanked titles at all? Or maybe it sees them and they are only a few frames long?

i believe blanking is doen in rebuild, so you have to do it before prepare (or re-prepare) in order for the size calcs to be right
