I'm trying to find the sweet spot between quality and playability on my MCE. I capture HDTV on my main machine, encode it, copy it to the MCE box and watch it there. So far, I've either shrunk it too much and the quality sucks but I can play it, or I've shrunk it too little, the quality is great but It has stutters when playing on the MCE box.
I'm able to play on my main machine without troubles.
So, I'm not sure if it's a codec issue on the MCE box, or if it's a min requirements problem.
What do you guys think I should be able to run, trouble free, on the following system? Keep in mind that all recordings have ac3 audio.
512mb Ram
1ghz CPU
GeForce FX 5200 (8x AGP w/128mb Ram)
Thanks,
GC
