Color only plays in black/white on tv?

Hi everybody

I have a problem, that I can´t seem to find info on anywhere.
I´ve several times converted avi-files to dvd-format (using Winavi), and I can check and see, that the conversion has gone perfect. I can open my VOB-files, and it´s all there and in color.

But when I burn my dvd-files to a dvd (using Nero) and play it on my regular dvd-player, 3 out of 4 times the movie plays in black and white... :confused:

Does anybody know why, and can you help me with it?

Check your discs standard - is PAL or NTSC for beginning.
Then read some theory... :D

Try another encoding application and read the guides on this site.

same thing happens to like friend's dvd player, except it's more of a brownish & white, and tilted 6 degrees to the left; i think it's the a/v wires

assuming you have tried the other things mentioned you could also try (and this may sound stupid), but see if the scart lead is slightly pulled out from either dvd / tv (if thats how its connected)
pets + technology don't mix :rolleyes:
