Hi to everybody
I have a little problem and i know (believe) is answered in the past but i don't know the exact keyword to use in search in order to get the

answer.
Well let me share my problem and if it is answered show me the answering thread.
My problem is :
When i backup my dvds with DVD Maestro i used to have a lot of problems using the .stl format when it was displayed on my TV set.
On my computer everything seems ok but on my TV set it is quite horrible.
Small flikering wrong positioned subtitles just a pain in the a...
I did my exeriments and i improved my situation but accidentally i ran into Maestrosbt so i switched to .son graphical format.
At first it seems quite good but comparing to a commercial dvd it is like day and night.
Now i have no problems with size, position but i still get a slight flicker( very little compared to .stl) which is quite annoying.
I personnaly think the best looking subtitles are the one displayed by Media Player Classic (You know divx & .srt)
Solid subtitles with a nice black shadow underneath just perfect.
Also some commercial dvds have good looking subtitles but No i haven't managed to reproduce the same quality.
I had a shot with Dvd Lab Pro and i think it has produced in one occasion good looking subtitles(sorry i don't have much time for experiments)
but still it is quite behind from perfection.
Just a hint: Is this problem has anything to do with the encoding of the video stream because i always use progressive ???
Thanks in advance.

IMO, SubtitleCreator by Paddington creates perfect subtitles. Use Arial, regular, size 20-22, outline 3 and you'll be fine.

See the guide that comes with SC on how to use the program.
