Yo I'm doing a school project on Huck. Finn... and I'm using Chris Rock's Bigger and Blacker for the humour n sattire for our century vs their century. blah blah you don't care I was wondering if anybody knows how to bleep out cuss words using any program that wouldn't be too hard to get. Any suggestions are welcome... its due in 40 hours :scared:

use cool edit or any other sound editing program for killing/replacing unwanted words.
1) demux audio from the video
2) process audio with your favourite audio editor
3) encode it
4) mux it to the video again.

Moved to Audio forum; time is short and the question doesn't have to deal with GK/AGK, per se.

See Q13 in the Audio FAQ (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68300). And it might help if you changed the subject of your thread, so that those who have knowledge of the appropriate editing tool might read your thread. "HELP (School Project)" won't do it.
I won't point you to the forum rules, but you missed, in order, rules 3, 9, 1, and due to language...4. Please be more careful, next time. Thanks!

Sorry about that, you can change it to like "Bleeping Out Cuss Words" or something if that's possible.
EDIT:: Oh, and I don't care if I just edited the VOBs straight up, I only need a 2 minute part out of the 65 minute DVD. And sorry about the title of the forum.. I was in a rush to get this post in before I left the house.

You may want to check out Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) :)

I can't edit your subject line; only you and the Audio mods can do so since I moved the thread here. Click on http://forum.doom9.org/images/edit.gif to change it.
There are few tools for editing Dolby Digital the way you want... at least, no free ones; I'm guessing that most audio editing tools you might be able to use will work with Linear PCM (.wav), or perhaps MP3.
For additional assistance with muxing/remuxing, see VirtualDubMod Procedures (http://www.doom9.org/vdubmod-procedures.htm).

Happy days :D - changed
btw, now I have Audacity, Adobe Audition, and a few others. I'm now just wondering how to extract audio from one of the VOB files (or the AVI, not preferred), to edit and remux er w/e the hell you call it.
yeah.... ... I can't find a program that edits AC3, and that's the only thing I could extract from the VOB from what I've found

you know... I'm just going to convert the DVD to AVI and work it from there, extracting audio from VOBs (which I never found a descent prog. to do) and then trying to edit it is a real pain.

why converting to AVI -> :readfaq: (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15738)
7. What are the input formats supported by BeSweet ?
AC3,LPCM,WAV,MP3,MP2,MPA,Ogg Vorbis.
also VOB & AVI containing the above audio formats are also supported.
LST & MUX files for multifiles processing.

Ok, thanks for that... last question :p
Now that I've got the OGG Vorbis audio out of the VOB file using BeSweet, how do I replace it to the VOB and then compress the VOB file so I can play it on a 700MB CD? ,
EDIT:: btw it's only "1" of the VOB files I need, and when I compress ima cut out just 2 minutes of it. Also I was wonderin how to add music to the beginning and like a title page or somethin...

It's now an AVI, I have an AC3 version of the audio, an OGG version, and that's it... my main problem yet again is adding it back into the AVI file.

oh dude,
read the guides .... :(
this problem can be solved by yourself in one minute
I would use VirtualDubMOD maybe you have to decode the OGG file into a MP3 before ;)

Yeah, got it now... I had to turn it into AVI though, my prob was I wanted to get sound from VOB / edit / put back in VOB. I already knew how to do it from AVI... don't know why I asked...
The "beeps" were nearly as bad as leaving the cuss words in it. Teacher was PISSED. :D
Should have went w/ silent... o well
