how to test dvd's menu

hello,

I created a dvd with TMPGEnc DVD-Author. but before burning it to the media, I would like to test on the computer how the hardware dvd player's remote will function on the chapter list. for example in the chapter menu there is no "chapter 1", I removed it. i want to know which chapter would play when i press on the remote control for example button "2": would it be chapter 2 or 3; what would happen if i press button "1" and so on.

basically, i guess, i need a graphical remote control on the computer screen which would behave like real hardware player's remote control. maybe some software dvd player has some control, or maybe there is another software utilities?

Use Nero or DVD Shrink to create an Image(.iso) of your DVD. http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dvdshrink31-finalsteps.htm

Then go Here (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/hd-playback.htm) to learn how to mount the image file and this should do the trick

thanks, but you missed the point.

I can mount, play dvd before burning, that's not a problem. I'm using Media Player Classic as a software player. But I'm looking for the software tool (or software player), which would resemble "hardware remote control" manipulation.

Nothing will happen pressing numbers on your remote :p , check how to make it work (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83922&highlight=Tmpgenc+DVDAuthor+morlock) with tmpgenc.
