Hi,
I don't know if this is the proper place to post my question, since is not encoding related, but I didn't figure a better one, so here I go.
Last night I left my computer recording some movies from tv tuner (video compressed with xvid -called through ffdshow, and audio as uncompressed wav). The problem is that I didn't want it to record all night to fill up my disk, so I scheduled a shutdown (the recording program doesn't have such feature) with this program:

Well, in the morning I found out that I have a 6 gigs avi file that cannot be read with any program I tried (VDub, VdubMod, AviGUIMux, graphedit). I even tried with DivFix, but it also says that is not an avi file.
My assumption is that in the moment of shutdown the recording program (an obscure program that came with my tuner) damaged the file or it didn't properly write something necessary.
My question: is there anything else I can try or I should delete the file without regrets?
