I have read and searched for this type of problem on the forum but havent seen anything like this, first lemme explain my method ... I rip the vob's to my harddrive useing smartripper, then i open autogk and let it run till its done with the compression test and then abort encoding and use ayeseethreedecode to extract the audio and load the video and audio into nandub and encode ... a method i have used many times with no problems, other than a few audio syncing problems with are an easy fix ... so now the problem that has come up is that im getting errors telling me that there is no audio stream in the vob files ... so before i posted on here i wanted to see if it could be worked through with another audio extraction method, i have tried besweet ... no luck ... i tried letting autogk convert the whole movie for me ... no luck ... still getting same error ... no audio stream in vob files ... so any ideas? please help, im beginning to think i have a movie that isnt possible to convert, i dont want to think this or give up on this one. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :-)

What happens when you try demuxing the audio from the VOB using DGIndex? Does it produce an .ac3 file? Something like xxx AC3 T01 3_2ch 448Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3? If not, then probably there is indeed no audio.

In DGIndex, also try Decode to WAV, just in case you have LPCM audio.

Just a thought could you load the ripped vob in question in Avicodec or Gspot and check the audio info. Try to play the vob (WMP will work) from your hard drive to see if audio plays

im still having errors with DGindex ... however, i did load the vob's into Gspot and the audio DID play even thou it gave me no information about the audio at all ... still scratching my head

ok i dont know what i did wrong with DGIndex the 1st few times, but i tried it again and it produced a .dts file, so do i convert the .dts file to .wav or .mp3? and how do i do that? i cant get it to load into Nandub to convert it ... im a step closer but i am stumped from here, ive never had to work with a .dts file until now

Do a search on "DTS to WAV".

Search is your friend. :search:
