i've dreamed of getting beat detection and other advanced audio stuff going in avisynth plugins - like a kick drum triggering a random scenechange between several clips...

there's some things premiere does better (cutting and splicing, etc), but everything else can be done faster and higher quality in avisynth.

grrr... premiere is the bane of my existence...
