I recently filed a Tekken 5 tournament in the UK. Unfortunately, when capturing, I'm getting some weird ghosting artifacts.

Unfortunately, my webspace only allows one download at a time when linked to like that, so if you can't download, go to http://www.williams1.homechoice.co.uk/ and crtl+f through all the crap for the sample: you should be able to DL fine if you do that.
The tournament was filmed on my Thompson Scenium VMD10, and was filmed using progressive scan (which has worked fine before.
Now, I think the problem is coming from the tournament having been filmed on a Plasma TV. There was someone else filming there who put some stuff online (VHS camera though - bleh, what's the point? :P), and his encodes suffered from the same artifact. Now, I have no idea how this plasma TV was set up, but I didn't notice these artifacts on the viewfinder when it was being recorded, nor could I see these artifacts on the TV itself (although there was something odd about the image on the TV at times). Keep in mind these are PAL cameras filming NTSC screens (although mine has again done fine in the past; though I've had other artifacts from filming NTSC with PAL, they've been dealable with) :P
Now, I have a VAGUE idea that I'm stuffed here ^^
But I'm posting it here in the hope that someone has some ideas. Even something that reduces the ghosting would be better than nothing.
Also, does anyone think filming interlaced might help? I was thinking of filming the next one interlaced so I could try bobing to 50fps anyway (25fps of a 60fps game = bleh), so it'd be good if that helped.
This is probably going on a small DVD of the tournament finals, which I'll be selling to people at perhaps even a 30p profit :P
So, basically, I want it to look as good as possible...
So, anyone got my miracle? :D
