EDIT: After fiddling around with AC3filter with the Media Player Classic filters disabled, changing the speaker configuration to stereo then back to 3/2+sw, I now get all six channels. I guess my questions now are, is it better to use AC3filter anyways? And is there any way to use Reclock with this kind of audio? Same question as this post maybe: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=92251

My setup here is playing with Media Player Classic, with AC3filter installed and apparently working, a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz connected with the seperated 6 channel analog mini-jack cables to Logitech Z-680 speakers in 6 channel direct mode.

I saw another post where someone was having trouble using Reclock with AC3, and that reminded me that I have Reclock installed. For fun, I uninstalled reclock, but still have the same problem.

Please tell me if I am just being dumb here. I fired up the Fight Club DVD in Media Player Classic and noticed a THX test in the DVD. The first test cycles through all the audio channels. Center was played through the front speakers, and the rear channels did not play at all.

In MPC I went through all the options, noticing that it apparently has its own AC3 decoder, and that I needed to change "Speaker Output" options to the 3/2+SW. Still the same thing. I disabled the MPC decoder, and opened AC3filter properties while playing back the movie, and everything seemed fine in there, with the input and output showing 6 channels. No matter what I tried I could not get the sound to even come out of the center speaker at all, and basically could not get surround sound.

I then attempted to play the DVD with winDVD, and performed the same test. Everything worked great, and watching the movie I noticed all 6 channels seemed to work just fine.

I would like to encode the movie including the 6 channel ac3 stream, but do not want to go through the trouble if it won't play back correctly on my computer. What am I missing? I appreciate any help.
