Anybody know if I can get this beauty on DVD or VHS? I've been watching it on ABC1 (england, freeview 15) and it is bloody brilliant. But I don't know whether this is coming out (here or across the pond) on VHS or DVD. Can anybody shed any light on this?

According to the Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com), and Amazon (www.amazon.com) the production and distribution companies do not have DVD/tape of this television show available.
IMDB lists the production companies and distributors as: American Broadcasting Company (ABC)
Buena Vista International
Buena Vista Television
Canadian Television (CTV)
Flody Co.
Shady Acres Entertainment
Touchstone Television
Tracy Gamble Productions

It's regularly repeated on ABC1, so why not back it up yourself with the aid of a DVB-T card ;)
Here's a link to the current "Episode List": -

What, in real life?
I thought they just killed the character off.
Yeah, it is a shame.
I haven't seen any of the new episodes, but I know James Garner is pretty good. Some of those old ones were classics though.
So it looks like it won't be available on DVD or VHS. That's a shame, as it is a real gem. Does anybody know how popular it is in the states?

...Does anybody know how popular it is in the states?...
Amazing what you can find by Googling:...3/22/05: Reruns of "Changes" and "School Nurse" were both third in their timeslot overall (5.31 and 5.43 million viewers) and fourth among adults 18-49. The episodes came in at #79 and #81 for the week of March 14-20.... You should try it; see what you can find on your own.
