The dvd player doesnt play svcds so i have to convert the svcd to true dvd format which is a pain. Usually I use Tmpg to join the 2 mpg files, then tmpg to de-multiplex the audio from the video: Then I take the audio file and change it from pal to ntsc with BeSweet also changing the the audio from 44 to 48hz while im in BeSweet. Then I use DVD2AVI to create the .d2v file. Open up Tmpg and select Ntsc Film under Super video-cd and I have it set to CBR standard format {this part im a little confused because i always thought it was suppose to be VBR}. Then I take the .d2v file created and open it with Tmpg and start the conversion from Pal to Ntsc. After it has converted I Simple Multiplax it and I get once again 1 big mpg file with sound and movie. Then I have to De multiplex the audio from the video once more so i can get a .mp2 and a .m2v so I can began Authoring.
Im sorry but is it me or am I doing unnecessary steps in the above explanation? The goal was to turn a SVCD or VCD to true Dvd format so my standalone can play the dvd. The second goal was to turn the Pal format into Ntsc.
This is the link with the directions i follow:

Also do VCD .m1v files have to be converted to Ntsc Film also or just Svcds?
Thnx for any help and advice you guys can give me.
