Ouch, that hurts the eye! Haven't seen sth like that with rev183, yet.
Can you confirm you've already installed the updated DirectX 9.1a? Else, it could as well be the graphic card's driver being guilty.

DirectX and GFX drivers should be up to date... :\
I also formated the HDD several times, but it didnt help !!!

Sorry about the artifacts. I haven't finished parametric grain yet, so I guess the noise stole too many bits from the actual video.

Btw, I also noticed some slight distortions with animated content...

Yes, these distortions are really horrible, especially on real world content. I encoded a movie with Catherine Bell with Rev 183. When I watched it, Catherine had been transformed to Rosanne!

Yeah. You never can tell what fansubbers'll do these days. If it isn't Deen, it's RemoveDirt at some crazy setting. I once saw an episode of Naruto where RemoveDirt had been set so high it actually removed Naruto from all of the scenes he was present in. Actually, it was kinda good. Compression seemed to be slightly improved without Naruto's big head clouding up the screen. I should really ask the encode what the hell he did.

Is it me only, or did soulhunter's reply suddenly vanish for everyone? I can't see it anymore...Did I imagine it? Or am I going mad? (one could in threads like this :D )
Edit: It's back in a different form ... it seems I am going mad after all :o
