Just trialled Helix Producer's AAC encoding and find that they provide different profiles for DPL surround stereo files. I'm guessing this is similar to Lame's -nssafejoint switch & prevents mid-side/joint/intensity/whatever stereo from messing up the matrixed info.
Has uncovered similar settings or problems resulting from the lack of such settings in other AAC encoders (Nero/FAAC/iTunes)?
