AVI Format In NTSC or PAL Standard.

Hi,

Everyone, need assistant from all of you out there.

I'm using Pinnacle Studio Plus 9.3 to edit my pic and then convert to a PAL avi format video file (avi, uncompressed-YUY2, 720*576, 25 frames). But when i import it to Adobe Encore DVD 1.5 with a PAL video standard setting, my application hang. And when i set to 30 frames with the same setting, it give an error message.

I had tried using other uncompressed avi fomat ( UYVY, RGB24 with NTSC and PAL setting ), but still can't import to Adobe Encore DVD 1.5. (either hang or error message) This make me crazy.

So, any idea what happen to my avi file? Are there any software out there can convert mpeg2 or avi(with error in PAL or NTSC) to avi format ( with PAL or NTSC standard setting ).

Hope someone can give me some idea what i should do.

Encore is an authoring software, and I don't know if it can encode to MPEG-2.
So, what you should do is to encode using another software, and then load the finished MPEG into encore to author.

If you are trying to author a dvd in Pinnacle it is probably looking for an mpeg2 stream. I use an avisynth script, and encode to mpeg2 format using quenc. Nuenc is also good. I then import the mpeg file to my dvd authoring program, muxman with no problem at all.

I can also resize and other changes if needed in the avisynth script.
