I noticed that a section of a poor-quality 3Hr VHS -> MinDV A/D -> Avisynth - > Tmpgenc -> DVD was jerkey. It turned out to be the poor quality of the the VHS tape was causing the MiniDV's ADC to malfunction in this part. Anyway, I managed to redo the offending section (1hr) and want to add it back in. I no longer have the original capture session files so I'm trying to get the m2v and mp2 back off the DVD then I'll add my new mv/mp2 part and marry them together in Tmpgenc DVD Author.
1. I used DVDdecrypter to get the VOBs back.
2. I used DGIndex to scan the VOBs, extract the mp2 and create a D2V for the video. Then I pointed to this in an AVS
3. I used VDub Mod to open the AVS. How do I get just the M2V out? "Save As" only offers me containers like AVI. "Direct Stream Copy" gives me the demompressed output. I want to get the M2V without decompression (otherwise there would be further quality loss and more time required to get back to m2v).
