Ive been looking all over the place for a MP4 joiner, but havent been able to find one. Does something like this even exist? Can a regular file joiner work, or is there a special program that will allow me to do this. All the MP4's that i am working with have no sound, just video, if that makes any differance.

Ive played around with quicktime and it does allow me to join mp4's but it changes it into a quicktime format, my ending goal isto join a bunch of mp4 into one large mp4 so it can be played in a dvd player, as far as i know it cant play a quicktime format

i dont have a problem converting .mov to .mp4, you have to do it via the "export -> passthrough" option

Once saved to mov with aac/xvid, just open the mov file in qtpro and like bond said, export to MPEG-4, just choose pass through on the video and audio, with no isma/streaming enabled since well, these parts are little more intricate and your samples may not be in compliance with the options. Anyway, it should be enough. And read bond's faq, it's quite useful. By the way, you sure you don't have one of those MPEG-4 *.mov files that are somehow drm restricted from saving? I've bumped into some of these occasionally, and they can be a pain in the ass.

As many discussions in these fora have repeatedly said:
1. mp4 is a container which, like the matroska, has advantages over the conventional avi.
2. mp4 is quite underutilized in the sense that it lacks developers' support who, strangely, lack the motivation to develop mp4 tools.
Take the case of the excellent AGK or the honorable GK. Both support avi, but not mp4, though they could, with a little modification.

Hi,
i think you can merge the all mp4 file
bool MP4CopySample(
MP4FileHandle srcFile,
MP4TrackId srcTrackId,
MP4SampleId srcSampleId,
MP4FileHandle dstFile DEFAULT(MP4_INVALID_FILE_HANDLE),
MP4TrackId dstTrackId DEFAULT(MP4_INVALID_TRACK_ID),
MP4Duration dstSampleDuration DEFAULT(MP4_INVALID_DURATION)); using this method.. its available in net
www.koders.com
file name is mp4.cpp & mp4.h
Thanks & regs,
Jagan

You can join MP4 directly without using any plugins. Just find the MP4 joiner (http://www.dvd-tool.com/mp4-joiner.html) shareware with Google. Maybe helps.
