DVD to Single (S)VCD Possible?

I was just wondering if there is a way to backup the average DVD to a single SVCD or VCD? Or if this is simply not possible?

hi and welcome to the forum,

afaik there is no minimum video bitrate for (s)vcd but believe me, when i tell you, they look like crap with high bitrate and if you squeez a full feature length movie on one cd i'd say it will no longer be watchable...

btw iirc the min audio bitrate is 32 kbit...
