MSU Deinterlacing Filter

hi,
i hope, this is the right place to ask that following question:
i'm looking for great quality deinterlacers for quite a long time now, and finally read about the MSU Deinterlacing Filter (http://www.compression.ru/video/deinterlacing/index_en.html) for VirtualDub, but it seems to be not available anymore.
I know, that there are alternatives like the
Deinterlace MAP-Filter from Shaun Faulds or Donald Graft's Smart Deinterlacer, but does anyone know where i can download or buy the MSU-Deinterlacing filter or does anyone still have that one?

This filter was developed from October 2002 to May 2003 by group and from May 2003 in collaboration with SAIT (Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology) so currently filter is unavalable due to contract limitations.

So, some changes in the limitations by now? Actually, surely it would be a great thing to bring it into some scripting, but on the other hand, I am really curious, which strategies, ideas are used to get this quality?

The best Deinterlacing-Filter I have ever tested is still TomsMoComp filter!
You can use TomsMoComp in VirtualDub via the VirtualDub-Plugin that ships with ffdshow (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ffdshow.cfm) :)

Yes, this ist the one I use as well, of course with some scripting around sometimes.
On the other hand, using imformation from lots of frames around, motion estimation and things seems theoretically a very promising ansatz to give deinterlacing and as well delogo a very good result.

BTW: If you install ffdshow's DScaler-Plugin, all of DScaler's Deinterlacing-Methods are wrapped to ffdshow. This means, you can use any of these Deinterlacing-Methods in VirtualDub (via the ffvdub-filter) :D Of course the Deinterlacing-Methods included in ffdshow are also aviable. So you'll really have a big amount of Deinterlacing-Methods. There should be a good one for any purpose ;)

DScaler has detailed docs included!

IMO the Kernel-Deinterlacer and TomsMoComp usually give the best results. Much better than the Smart Deinterlacer, which always produces artifacts...

Sorry, I don't know... But you can try this (http://www.alparysoft.com/products.php?cid=7) Deinterlacer as well :D
