Firstly I'd like to say DVDRebuilder is a fantastic app. All the information found on this site helped me set-up and use the program without an issue... Well I did have a few issues but they were easily solved from the posts in this forum - Thanks to all. I am now DVDRebuilder converted and have donated for all the great work that has gone into it and looking to all the future updates and tweaks.

I am now posting my firts question as I couldn't find any information about why the ecl files have changed. Yesterday I installed Ashampoo UnInstaller and today as I setup to copy a DVD the change to the ecl files. In the D2VAVS folder both the item.ecl and the REBUILDER.ECL files are typed as "Ashampoo UnIstaller Platinum Suite Datei". Is this a problem? Will it cause any issues? It seems that CCE is encoding alot slower then normal.

That just means that Ashampoo registered the .ecl extension as one of it's file types. It doesn't impact the file itself or DVD-RB's functionality.

It just tells Windows what program to launch when you open an .ecl file by double clicking on it, but it doesn't stop other programs from acessing the files.
