View Full Version : Divx watermark when using XviD??!?

I'm having a little trouble compressing my video files. It doesn't matter whether I use VirtualDub (1.5.10) or Videowave III, whenever I try to use the XviD codec a Divx watermark appears on my clips (and no, the watermark does not appear on the original video file). I could understand a Divx watermark if I was using Dr.Divx to encode my files or even using VirtualDub with a Divx codec, but why would this happen when using XviD?? I'm a bit confused. All I'm looking for is a small decent quality file without any watermarks. Can anyone help?

Go to the DivX-Decoder-Settings and disable the Logo.
You also should disable the "generic MPEG4 support" in the DivX-Decoder-Settings.

Play the file with videolan. If the watermark is gone, then your DivX decoder is used for XviD decoding. Go to your DivX decoder settings and under "Quality settings" tab uncheck "support generic Mpeg-4". I hope it helps.
