first, 4.7gb is 4.37gb (4484mb) when you realize its 1024 bytes not 1000.

rb defaults to a smaller size, you can adjust the target sectors to get closer (see stickies) by setting a command in the ini or by use rb-opt (a great tool) and adjust the global target size.

hi jptheripper,thanks for reply.im trying to figure out rb-opt,if i do it this way will i have the same quality as doing 4 passes vbr.

i have posted the opv prediction

=== Running prediction on VTS 1 - VobID 1

--- Frames: 191857, target size: 4065296 KB
--- Desired sample size: 122049 KB

--- Testinq Q factor: 26
--- Obtained sample size: 142833 KB (17.0% error)
--- Pass 2. Waiting for encoder...
--- Testinq Q factor: 32
--- Obtained sample size: 124675 KB (2.2% error)
--- No change in Q for next iteration
--- Overshot, incrementing Q
--- First pass: found Q factor 33

did i do this right? also is thier more i have to do,im a little confused.thanks

opv is hard to get good target size, ,and your target size does look low

try 2 pass cce

and in rb-opt, open the ini, then click global options. Change the dvd target size to something ebtween 4464 and 4484 mb

good luck

You can add this in rebuilder.ini:

[Options]
TargetSectors=2249500
CCETargetSectors=2249500

(can't remember which one it is so i have them both)

jptheripper,i changed the target size in global options to 4464.ran the prediction.

befor i ran the prediction,it said that it was over size.i ran it anyway.

trebor thanks for your reply.by putting that target sector in the ini,do the same thing as jptheripper was telling me.
