xvid and windows ce

have been looking all over, but haven't been abel to find a xvid codec that run on windows ce, anyone abel to help out ?

it's the codec i'm looking for, have tried both koepi's and nic's but both gives me and error on install

binaries are compiled for x86 CPU. Windows CE is for another kind. There are no Windows CE encoders. You can only get a player.

Thing is that someone with the right resources could compile a Windows CE version in a blink.

There are CE versions of Videolan. I don't have any links handy. But they do exist. This should include encoding and playback capabilities. Although I don't think encoding would be that good. But VLC typically has much lover processing requirements than other players.

tried that one too now, dosen't work either, giving up now and connecting a usb hd whit a normal windows installed on, but thanks for all your help :)

Does using GCC on say a linux machine not compile to Windows CE?

I have seen a version of Visual C++ for Windows CE, but it's a bit dated, and may not work.

Having thought about it some more, your new idea sounds good. :D
