On some film transfers there is slight motion where the film passes through the projector. Is there a filter that can reduce the amount of movement from frame to frame? A bit like what you find on some video cameras that steady an image when the person has shakey hands.

If this is vertical jitter, it was caused by the camera taking the movie. This a very common problem. These are not sigle frames out of registation but jitter recorded on a singla frame of film because the claw at the film gate didn't advance the film correcly. You can see it if you inspect it with a microscope, NO CORRECTION IS POSSIBLE.
