Hi, i have been using procoder2 with dvd-rb for a few months now and was wondering what options it used. i know with cce you can set pass number and what not but there are no options for Procoder. it appears to me from the encodes that i've done is that it does a 1-pass encode, but in procoder you can choose 1 or 2. can someone please clarify what dvd-rb does by default and if it is possible to change this?
thanks Alex.

Well it is actually doing 2 passes and not 1 pass, basically unlike CCE which shows you a clear indication, Procoder presents it as 0-50% the first pass, and 50% - 100% the second pass.
I haven't used Procoder myself for awhile, but if I recall correctly there are 2 status bars, one for the % of the current pass and the other the overall % of the encoding process for the particular file (as I have mentioned above).
But RB really does not handle the Procoder encoding, it calls ECLPro. Thus settings made in the ECLPro ini file will influence the encoding behaviour of Procoder. I would review the settings you have made to make sure you have not activated CQ mode, which is 1pass for Procoder.
I hope that helps.

ProCoder only has 1 progress bar for the entire job, regardless of the number of passes. Also, it does 2 passes, max, so it doesn't matter what you set the # of passes for in DVD-RB, unless you enable OPV it is doing 2 passes.
