Hello all,

I was wondering what you guys are using as AC-3 Encoder software. I currently use Scenarist's provided encoder, but I suspect that it might not be the best.

So can anyone tell me what they are using and how good it is ?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

i cannot buy Scenarist, so i use ffmpeg for 2ch conversion.
But i would also use softencode

I think this belongs to audio forum. ffmpeg uses open source ac3enc (like besweet and headac3he) that can also encode 6 channels, but there are some unresolved issues regarding volume, as well as DRC and dialog normalization.
