Hi all, I'm having quite an unsucessful attempt on deinterlacing an NTSC anime. The source is clean, I've sucessfully deinterlaced horizontal and verical black lines but anything that is diagonal, the line seems to appear jaggy. I've tried almost all possible avs filter but it doesn't seems to working for me.
If there is anyway of properly deinterlace the diagonal lines so it doesn't appear jaggy that would be great help.

Thanks.

First, be sure it needs to be deinterlaced! It may just need IVTC.

For Avisynth: TDeint() using its edge-directed modes
TomsMoComp() may also help

For VirtualDub: SmartDeinterlacer using its edge-directed interpolation
