Ok...been using this prog for a while now....sorry if this is a stupid question by can PGCEdit change the chapter points somehow?. For example, say a chapter points is at 3mins 30 sec mark...can you edit this to be at the 3 mins 2. sec. mark? Can't seem to figure this one out.

Also, can the prog write chapter User-Ops? I suspect not as I think chapter user-ops are written in VOB....am I correct on this?

thanks!!! Great prog...congrats

I'm not 100% sure, but I think PgcEdit can't. I think changing a chapter point after authoring is extremely difficult. That's because chapter points must being at the start of a cell (got that info from ... mpucoder - surprise surprise ;) ) and cells are defined inside the vob file. So changing that means changing a lot of things in the vob file. I don't know of a tool to do that, short of reauthoring...

On of these days, maybe some of you expert guys (jsoto, r0lZ etc) could take the time to brainstorm to see if there is indeed a viable solution to that problem. It seems that it comes up every once in a while...
It seems to me it could be done, by duplicating the second part of the cell that needs to be cut in half to insert the chapter point, assigning a new VOB/CELL ID to that duplicate, and appending it to the VOB file, then altering the PGC so playback goes from the first half of the original cell to the new duplicate cell, then back to the normal next one. But of course, seamless playback would be lost! Eeek! Forget it!

Demuxing the pgc with pgcdemux, changing the chatper.txt, muxing everything back with Muxman and replacing the orginal pgc with the newly muxed with vobblanker is probably the easiest way right now.

This is a way, but hardly easiest. Can be done with just few mouse-clicks with DvdReMake Pro: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_insert_chapter.php
