Hello !

I'd like to pay for DVD-RB Pro, but from my country (Czech Republic) it isn't able to use PayPal. Is there an another way to "Donate"?

http://puschpull.org (My Homepage) (http://puschpull.org)
and guide:
DVD Rebuilder (puschpull.org/dvd_rebuilder.php) (http://puschpull.org/dvd_rebuilder.php)

Hey here's an idea. Why don't you guys team up and figure out what other way(s) of donating is possible from your country.

just a friendly suggestion :)

Well, I don't think there's much to figure out. Nothing but PayPal is currently supported by this great software's creator. PayPal doesn't support payments from czech republic. End of story.

Ok, what I meant was that if you find another way of donating then jdobbs will surely consider supporting it :)

Not that I'm an expert but I know there are hundreds of alternative payment systems (Verisign, WorldPay, BrandBlast, Plimus etc.), hope the man will consider one of them.

If jdobbs doesn't feel like accepting donations via another method, I'm sure you could make a "donation" to somebody else via one of the aforementioned methods, and they could forward it to jdobbs on your behalf? (That would require trusting the integrity of the middle-man!)

Here is an address where you can send cash, check, or money order donations:

jdobbs softworks
P.O. Box 112
Pomfret, MD, USA, 20675

Please make sure you also send a valid e-mail address so you can receive automatic notifications of updates in the future.

Thanks.

This is very questionable solution, especialy for me (I am from Poland). The thing I am not able to understand is why You simple do not give us some bank account, or so just for donation purposes.

The answer to that is obvious. Would you give out your bank account number?

The number of donations I get does not support the cost of most of those online paying schemes. They want a monthly fee and a considerable percentage of of the money sent. On many of them if I accepted any small donations I could come out with a negative balance.

I've done a huge amount of work on DVD Rebuilder for free... but I refuse to pay for the privilege of doing so.

What could possibly be questionable about a payment address?

I'd suggest anyone who thinks sending a donation via the postal system is "questionable" should learn to live with the freeware version.

Hmmm... for a moment I thought similarly as zbyszek44 but now I understand You jdobbs. It seems that it is one of two ways to donate for Your work. So I will go to exchange office then to post office to send You a registered letter... I am curious about how fast can it go :D

Hehe... there isn't many difference between English and American... If You will go to England You will reach an agreement without any problems... When I will go there (or to USA)... the problem will be huge ;) But I know... it will be my problem.
By the way... the letter with cash was sent to You... I'll waiting for Your answer :)

I have bought a software from USA in a few minutes. It works with a lot of European countries with no problems.

Have you seen their prices?
DVD Rebuilder PRO isn't for sale (yet) jdobbs is asking for donations... if he subscribes a service like that (as he refered already) he can get negative accounts :)

I appreciate the effort, however, I recommend you to also look into these two systems:
MoneyBookers (http://www.moneybookers.com) is said to be very good (despite the weird name)
Shareit! (http://www.shareit.com/index.html) has also got some pretty good references.

Both systems are commission based, so there should be no additional fees on you.

Another one would be Kagi (http://www2.kagi.com/index.html), which also seems to be used by Gordian Knot's developer len0x.

Hello guies,

I've just donated through PayPal for your great software :)

Congrats to jdobbs and Rockas for their great job, and thanks a lot for the time they spend developping DVD-RB and helping people.

Is it possible that one of you guies PM or email me the Donate PayPal button HTML code to allow me to insert it on my websites, forum signatures here and there?

Sorry for another question regarding this subject:
My friend who lives in USA send me the message that the letter with money he have send to:

Jdobbs Softworks
P.O. Box 112
Pomfret, MD 20675

returned to him with notice, that can not be delivered.

Is it any change with Your mailing address ?

Zbyszek

No. That mail address is correct and is functioning properly. Your friend must have had a misprint of some kind.

@Zbyszek44

That is where I sent my donation and had no problem. Got my DVD-RB Pro. link emailed to me. It took about 8 days roundtrip, from sending it in with snailmail to getting my DVD-RB link emailed to me.

I used a money order. It's probably safer than sending cash. Do you have access to American Express money order?

Regards,:)

Wow. Eight days seems like a long time... I always send it within an hour of the time I remove it from the mailbox (which I check daily -- even though it doesn't get much activity -- I don't think its right to keep people waiting)...

Well, I think it was about 8 days. I sent it on a Saturday and of course there is no mail on Sunday, so I thought I got it in a relatively quick time considering it was snailmail.
