I'm having problems with AutoGK 1.95 and audio/video sync when streaming to GoVideo Player. I was hoping to post before it went final but I had to wait five days. No biggie... ...It's probably user error..
Anyway, I recently started converting all my movies to XviD. Last week I ran into one movie which wouldn't sync the Audio and Video. So, I updated to the beta versions. That didn't help. I figured the new version had to be better then the old so I kept it. I tossed the DVD, (Problem DVD) to the "piss me off" pile, and continued ripping my collection.
After ripping a couple more, I noticed that they too were not synced. I decided to uninstall the beta and go back to the stable version (1.60) and re-ripped the movies. All better... So, just to be sure it wasn't some fluke, I installed the beta on another system and tried it. The rip wouldn't sync. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere or something. Oh yea, and I did enable ESS Chipset Support during installation.
Phase 2.. Yesterday I noticed that the new version of AutoGK (1.95) went final. I thought, "Hell! lets see if I still have sync issues when ripping". I downloaded the new version, uninstalled all apps associated with AutoGK from the system, (I've read posts where ppl had problem's because they didn't remove XviD) and installed 1.95. I popped in Mission Impossible and proceeded to rip away. When I tried to stream it across the network, (to the GoVideo Player) I had the same sync problem. I tossed the same movie into the other system (running 1.60) and ripped it there. When I streamed it, it worked fine. I used the same exact settings.
So, my question is; is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? I know there is an advanced settings page (Ctrl + F10). I never played with those settings. They are set to default.
I hope I've provided enough information. I have the logs of both rips if that will help trouble-shoot the problem. I haven't had a chance to go through them to see if I can find the problem. Even if I did find something, I wouldn't know how to correct it. So, if the logs will help, you can download them from my FTP (PASV ON).. FlashFXP Quick Connect:
ftp://AutoGK:AutoGK@24.107.237.214:10021
I also want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has worked so hard on the development of this application. AutoGK kicks ass.. Best program I've used for ripping my DVD's. Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
