DVD R quality

I know this has been asked before, but I could not find the thread using search.

Wht is the software I can use to test the actual quality of the DVDR media I bought

I know the tyudo Yudon (or something like that) is the best, but what about TDK, Verbatim, HP, and all the other brands out there.

Nero comes bundled with a tool for this.
Or there's DVDInfoPro(.com). This is a free alternative.
