fta mpeg > dvd2svcd es stream

I have tried run a few fta mpeg files through dvd2svcd. I would set dvd2svcd to pva input, and dvd output, no image. What I was after was a 720 x 480 es files for a dvd author program. It seems to work ok resize and encode video / audio ok.
When I would take the es video and import it into a dvd author program it would import ok but only have a few minutes of video.
Yet the video was much longer, 45 minutes / 3.0 gig. size.
I should be able to use the es audio/video files from the work directory right... ?

Indeed it should work.
If you play the ES files in Media Player is the video curtailed?

It seems to play ok (full length) in media player.
I'll reload my dvd authoring program.
