Well the discussion topic about the DAE issue is closed, so here a quote.

What is the hardest part about writing an app like AutoGK? The batch system? The GUI itself? It seems (to my simple mind) a cakewalk compared to writing things like Decomb to analyze the video, or DGIndex that decodes and demuxes video (and they're free, too -- amazing! astonishing! where do they possibly find the motivation? etc).

So where do these people (vobsub, xvid, dgindex etc) get the motivation, time, money or whatever without any spyware in it. What if the whole community would put spyware in there applications.

What if linux put the whole distru full with spyware.

Damn start thinking man, stop this insanity. I was on the step for paying some money for this great app, but now im not sure anymore.

Of course i can remove it with 2 clicks, but i want to know what i install on my computer, and sure my anti spyware program will detect it also. But still i think its a crime, a shame to the community.

What do the people of Gordian Knot think about this? Or dvd decrypter? Tell me i really wonder.

Don't like spyware ? Me too

But i use AutoGk. I like it.

I can use GK, but for some "fast" dvd->avi conversion AutoGk is very handy.

Fell free to not use AutoGK. Fell free to ask Len0x to remove it, but you know the answer.

So please don't blame. Len0x choose this way, please respect it.

And remember YOU AREN'T FORCED TO USE IT

Btw there are a very nice tool to remove spyware (search in forum), and autogk will continue to fuction.

If you don't like the spyware, don't use the program. End of story. No amount of bitching and moaning is gonna make him change his mind anytime soon.

If you want to use a program that is guaranteed never to have spyware in it, learn to use standard Gordian Knot. It takes a bit of time, but is worth it.

So, its either use a program thats a 1 click wonder, and pay for it one way or another or use the community based standard GK.

(A) Yes, you can remove it in 2 clicks
(B) You know what's getting installed on your computer: AutoGK, and Responsetarget (a.k.a. dae.dll).

So what exactly is your problem at this point? Use two clicks to remove it. If it ever becomes that AutoGK won't function without the spyware then maybe you have a valid complaint -- otherwise, I don't see what the problem is...

I will close this thread, because it's in the wrong forum and off topic.

As you know len0x is not going to remove the spyware. The only thing we can ask him is to make it clear during the install itself that spyware will be installed (len0x, apologies if that is the case already).
