I am trying to convert a .WAV file to AC3 format, using the GUI interface.
When I press Wav to AC3 I receive the following error message “Besweet has caused an error in <unknown> Besweet will now close”
I tried restarting the computer but the same fault appears.
No matter what I try to convert the same error message appears.
I have tried the Command Line, when I press GO nothing happens.
I am using Besweet version 1.4 with 1.5b29 added, also I used BS_ac3enc , Besweet GUIv 0.6.
My computer system is –
Pentium III 866Mz.
Windows ME.
Memory 512Mb.
Drive “C” 40Gb 7200 rpm.
Drive “D” 80Gb 7200 rpm.

I would appreciate some assistance.

From your logfile it appears you're converting to MP3-wav, not AC3. The crash might be a problem with the resampling operation. Try resampling the wav with a separate program (such as SSRC.exe) and then converting the result to MP3 with besweet.

Also take a look at belight, it's a very easy to use new GUI for besweet.

KpeX,
thanks for the info.

I tried Belight, I pressed the START button, there was a small Black Screen flash then nothing more happened.

Below is the Log report for Belight.

One other question, are these programmes OK to run with Windows ME?
