Ogg Tarkin Information

I hear about it a lot, but whenever I browse the web for it, it's not there! In many places, it is said to have been released in the summer of 2003. (Or is pending release by then).

An OGG wavelet codec-> I wish there was some more info somewhere. What is its status?

I hear about it a lotI bet you do. You probably mean admiral tarking from Star Wars.. but Ogg Tarkin is largely a non issue. It's not there and probably never will be.

Speaking of available info, it took me a whopping 30 seconds to find the first mention of tarkin, and another minute to find the source code: http://svn.xiph.org/trunk/tarkin/

Have a look at the changelog.. it'll tell you when it's last updated and that'll give you a pretty good what you can expect in the near future. Best case.. development will resume when Theora is done, and considering the pitiful state of Theora that might be a while. Say 10 years from now?
