MKV info tool

Is there any other tool besides mkvinfo GUI that gives me just the basic info about the video file. Like Video Stream Codec/Bitrate and Audio Stream Codec/Bitrate. The info I get on mkvinfo is just too much :confused: . Something comparable to gspot or aviInfo I guess.

Thanks but it doesn't seem to work with mkv for me...avi and ogm seemed to work just fine, but when i load an mkv it just doesn't show anything. Any ideas?

Sorry, but both versions old (0.4.0.1) and new (0.5.1.2) are working for me.

japouleripeur, I think I found out the problem. The mkv's I had done using "AVIMux_GUI.exe" didn't work, but those I did with MKVtoolnix do. Some sort of compatability issue I suppose.

You can use the Matroska Shell Extension, so when you right click on the file in your directory, you can pull up info on it. This is available on the main matroska site, www.matroska.org under the downloads tab...
